Raspberry Lime 7UP Ice Cream Float

It is still quite hot where we are! In fact, one of our favorite things to make are smoothies and floats of all kinds. I have recipes of all kinds – but this one is a very refreshing and very tasty version that is perfect to share with crowds, or with friends or with your kids…or just with your spouse!
Plus, it is super fast and easy to make. That’s always a huge bonus for me as I am often short on time.
Also, it includes one of my favorite ice creams – raspberry ice cream!
Here’s how to make this refreshing drink called Raspberry Lime Floats
Ingredients for Raspberry Lime Floats:
  • 2 Cups lemon lime soda
  • ⅛ Cup raspberry syrup
  • ½ Tbsps sugar
  • 6 Scoops raspberry ice cream
  • ½ Cup raspberries, for garnish
  • ¼ Cup mint leaves, for garnish

Directions for Raspberry Lime Floats:
  • In a shaker, add the soda, sugar, and raspberry syrup. Shake it.
  • Fill the glasses with scoops of ice cream.
  • Pour the juice and complete with more ice cream.
  • Top with raspberries and mint leaves.
  • Serve and enjoy.
Tips
For a raspberry milkshake, substitute soda with milk and blend all of the ingredients in a blender.
Now the above recipe is the traditional one that is enjoyed at parties and gatherings. But this treat is so yummy, that we have a “lightened up” version so that we can enjoy it more often!
Here’s how to make it:
  • 2 Cups sparkling water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1-2 TBSP of stevia (baking stevia in powder form)
  • 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
  • 6 Scoops raspberry sorbet or homemade raspberry sorbet
  • ½ Cup raspberries, for garnish
  • ¼ Cup mint leaves, for garnish
To prepare:
  • Put the water, lime juice, stevia (will react so be prepared), frozen raspberries in a blender and blend on high until well mixed.
  • Fill the glasses with scoops of sorbet.
  • Pour the juice and complete with more sorbet.
  • Top with raspberries and mint leaves.
  • Serve and enjoy
